Written during a period marked by one of their main songwriters leaving the band, the album forced afundamental reassessment of both the process and the intentions. Siamese became more of a band, and less of a songwriting camp with “dissolution”. The result is a sound that is heavier than anything Siamese have released before. More instinctive, more aggressive and a more introvert. At the center of “dissolution” lies a deeply complicated father – son relationship.
